about

Create a Handmade Revolution!” -The Craftaholic

I am a self taught artist and writer who lives and plays in Brooklyn New York. I run a group called, “The Craftaholic’s School of Art & Creativity” where I host workshops, classes and fun creative events.
Being a stay at home mother and an artist, I strive to inspire others to think differently about their life, and about what they create and call art. Influenced by my passion for sustainability and my mild obbsession with owls and mermaids, I believe in creating art from everything around you.

I’m a mixed media artist, with a specialty in book binding and jewelry making. I also am schooled in aromatherapy, and make my own vegan soaps made from organic ingredients.
I’m a writer and poet as well, and am currently working on my chapbook. Since 2007, I’ve been blogging, writing, creating, making, inspiring and loving life under the alias “The Craftaholic”.

I have an online shop, and teach art and craft classes throughout New York City with my art group, “The Craftaholic’s School of Art & Creativity“.  My focus in teaching, blogging, and in everything I do, comes from a place of sustainability, motherhood, and my love of creativity.

I’m also currently working as a teaching artist for the Brooklyn College Arts Lab-an after school program for middle school and high school children.

Companies I’ve worked with:

  • Mohawk Fine Papers (Strathmore Artist Paper)
  • Colorfin (Pan Pastels)
  • Art Institute Glitter
  • DMC Threads
  • Plaid Crafts
  • Ranger (Tim Holtz Products)
  • Vintaj (jewelry findings & embellishments)
  • Kate’s Paperie
