I just made a pretty necklace for myself:

I call it “Handmade Vintage” because the leather flowers, and the Ivory Buddha are both vintage pieces from old jewelry that I had stored away. ACTUALLY, the little Buddha was from a vintage necklace I bought on the street two summers ago. I bought it thinking, “I KNOW I can remake this into something fabulous!” And low and behold I have, so far.
The turquoise beads are uhm….from etsy, I think, as well as the ohm symbol. I LOVE this necklace! I’m happy with how it turned out.
I’ve been making more “stuff” lately. This is because my daughter and I spend our QT together while baby Dharma is napping. When she naps in the morning, we make stuff. When she naps in the afternoon, it’s either baking or netflix. Or both. Netflix is great because I can work on my crochet or knit.
I’ve been crocheting lately. I’m trying to figure a design for a couple hats. I detest making hats. I don’t know why. But I do. I’d much rather make cowls. I never get tired of making those.
It could be the simple fact that I also detest WEARING hats. I really do. They mess up my hair, and I feel like they make my face look weird. My husband thinks I look fabulous in them though.
On another note, I really would like to go yarn shopping. And when I say yarn shopping, I mean REALLY go yarn shopping. Actually scratch that. I’d like to go supply shopping just in general. I haven’t bought any new art supplies in about 2 or 3 months (except yarn). I know. Yarn does TOO count. But does it still count if 90% of what I make is for sale? At any rate, I’m in need of new drawing pens, paper, gel pens and other things. So I’m thinking that soon and very soon I will go to the art supply store (did you catch that, I was thinking of the christian hymn-it’s stuck in my head).
Well, ta for now.
Really pretty, Diana, and very You. How wonderful that you and your daughter can craft together!
