This week is the Lunar New Year. That means that there are celebrations in the streets of chinatown, and those that celebrate this holiday, celebrate the year of the Water Dragon. The dragon, in chinese astrology, brings prosperity, good luck and change. I’ve been told that being born under this sign is a very auspicious and prestigious thing.

The Lunar New Year makes me think this year of transformation.

Perhaps that is why so many people make resolutions, go on diets, and try to improve themselves; because the new year represents a new chance-a door that is ready to be opened.

I don’t make resolutions. Maybe it’s because I’m a sagitarius and really do not like being tied down to a rule. I don’t know. What I do know is that transformation happens when we allow it to happen, when we welcome change with open arms.

So this year, I’m going to welcome change with open arms. What about you? How do you wish to transform yourself?
