So the one thing about me is that I love coffee. What I also love, is glass jars. Mostly I reuse them into dry bean containers. Or paint brush containers. Or pencil cups.

Anyway, I was so uberly excited to see this AWESOME tutorial online, for a DIY spice jars! Oh man.

Cute, right? Go to the instructables page to learn how to make this! It’s such a neat idea. I don’t normally do glass etching (mostly because I never have) but for this, I really think I will!

In other news I got a new cell phone. It’s an android. This means I can tweet, and update my facebook status from my phone and even open microsoft word documents. And check my email. The thing is, I’m not really a phone person. And now I’ve got this fancy shmancy new Android phone with all these bells and whistles….I just don’t want to end up like every other parent I see in the playground, talking on their cell phones while their children play, not even paying attention to their children. I mean, is that what we’ve come to? In this digital age, we have made a choice to neglect the face to face dialog.

ANYWAYS…

This year I really want to have more plants around the house and NO I will NOT forget to water them, I promise. I SWEAR!  I want my apartment full of lovely green plants. I do. I love plants but I sadly am so busy and so absent minded that I forget to water the poor things. This year I’m going to tell my four year old to remind me, and trust me, she will. All the time and probably twice or three times a day.
